Ofsted’s School inspection handbook (2019) says “If nothing has been altered in long-term memory, nothing has been learned.” Metacognition is a way of helping learning to stick.
This inspirational course, delivered by an accredited Research School will explore the evidence and recommendations from the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) providing practical strategies to support the new Ofsted Framework. Delegates will explore:
  • The meaning of metacognition and self regulated learning
  • Key principles for effective teaching and learning
  • The EEF 7 steps –  evidence based recommendations to help learning stick
  • Practical examples of metacognition and self-regulation, to use across a range of subjects
  • How their own schools will look and feel in terms of metacognition by the end of the next academic year
