Last week the Learning Trust for Excellence welcomed Joanna Mackie, Head of School Leadership Policy Unit at the Department for Education. Joanna had read about the work we ae doing and the impact it is having on our staff and children and was keen to visit to find out more about our model of collaborative working. Joanna spent the day talking to a range of staff from across the Trust schools exploring the support, challenges and opportunities the Trust has given both teaching and support staff and how this enhances our children’s learning experiences. It was a really successful day. Joanna commented on the energy and excitement within the Trust and was really impressed with the impact of our collaboration on teaching and learning standards. We even got a compliment in the House of Commons in a subsequent debate.
