Pupils, staff and the wider community at Coppice Primary School are celebrating the school receiving the top grade of Outstanding from its recent Ofsted. Not only did they achieve outstanding overall but they were recognised as being outstanding in all 5 areas that are assessed by Ofsted.
Ofsted stated that ‘children get an exceptionally good start to school life..and make rapid progress as they move through the school.’ They commented that the behaviour of the pupils was exemplary and that as a consequence of teachers’ enthusiasm and excellent subject knowledge that the pupils were extremely enthusiastic about their learning and were keen to do well.
Headteacher, Richard Green, commented that he was particularly pleased in the way that the report mentions how the school’s values underpin all that it does and in the very positive light that it reflected the pupils and all the hard work that they do.
