King Edward VI Handsworth School for Girls are celebrating their best-ever haul of offers from Oxford and Cambridge as 11 students have been made offers to study courses from Physics to Theology. Out of the eleven students, six students are from Sutton Coldfield including sisters, Hattie and Eloise England, who have both been awarded offers; one from Oxford and one from Cambridge.
Oxford University have congratulated the school on their ‘stellar performance’ which is ‘unheard of’.
The school, which has outperformed top private schools in the country, puts its success down to a combination of extremely hard-working students, being able to work closely with the Universities and the support given by staff.
